Summer Garden Soiree

Slow Food Tennessee Valley requests the pleasure of your company for a Summer Garden Soiree!

The evening will consist of an intimate 5-course meal, plus wine pairings, using locally sourced and foraged ingredients and prepared by two innovative and artistic “mystery” chefs. The evening will embody everything Slow Food represents: enjoying a delicious, leisurely meal; utilizing quality, locally-sourced ingredients; and engaging in delightful conversation with friends.

The event will take place at the home of Mac Goodwin and Lydia Pulsipher, Honorary Consul for the Republic of Slovenia. Dinner will be served in the garden under the stars, which promises to make for a lovely evening. Dress code is Garden Party (ladies wear flat shoes/sandals for touring the gardens).

Our soiree also happens to coincide with the 25th anniversary of Slovenia’s Independence, so expect some toasting and celebrating of this momentous occasion!

Slovenian Inspired Canapés

Greens Course: Garden Greens served over a Hearth Roasted Baguette with Pickled Red Onion and Sheeps Milk Cheese

Intermediate Course: Potato Gnocchi and Crispy Okra, Creamed Corn, and Foraged Chimichurri

Mystery Course

Main Course: Glazed Pork Roast over Sweet Carrot Purée with Mustard Greens and Roasted Peanuts

Foraged Signature Cocktail featuring Summer Flavors

Dessert Course: Decadent Almond Cake served with Sweet Pea Ice Cream

*Each course served with a selected wine pairing

**Each course will have an added wild component that will not be revealed until dinner is served
