Canning Workshop 2014

Save The Season!

Last weekend, SFTV brought back the beloved canning workshop! The Plaid Apron was very kind to let us utilize their cooking and dining space during off hours and Hines Valley Farm of Loudon County, TN contributed about 50 pounds (holy moly!) of tomatoes towards our canning cause. We had about 20 attendees, all with varying levels of canning experience. Our instructors, Kimberly and Lauren, covered canning safety and personal protective equipment, step-by-step canning instructions, and provided several beginner canning recipes.
