In the spring and summer of 2013, the Knoxville-Knox County Food Policy Council (KKCFPC) held several public meetings with residents and stakeholders to find out how we can improve our local food system. This effort was the first of its kind. The KKCFPC took the recommendations for improvement that came out of these meetings to the City Council and County Commission and are working with the City and County to implement these policy changes. Click here for more information on the project and to see the recommendations.
