Even better, who wants to learn how to make biscuits any time they want? Or have their kids cook biscuits for them?
Slow Food Tennessee Valley is happy to announce we’ll be hosting a Mother’s Day parent/child biscuit making class on Sunday, May 1st at just ripe. In order to maximize the opportunities to learn, there will be two separate sessions of the same class, the first from 10am-12pm, the second from 1pm-3pm.
We’ll get hands on as just ripe’s Amber Busby teaches us how to make real Southern biscuits from scratch. In addition to getting to eat what they make in class, participants will also receive some biscuit mix and the recipe to take home.
Tickets are $15 for adults, $5 for children 12 and under, and can be purchased at http://makebiscuits.brownpapertickets.com. As there are two identical sessions, PLEASE make extra sure you purchase tickets for the correct one (if you wish to attend the 1 pm class, you’ll need to select it from the dropdown).
