Still wondering what to get that special someone for Valentine’s Day? Are you without a special someone, and in need of a place to drown your sorrows in chocolate (accompanied by a glass of wine)? Have you always wanted to learn how to make chocolate candies for yourself?
If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, we have the event for you! Please join Slow Food Tennessee Valley for a chocolate making class on Saturday, Feb 7th from 3-6 pm at Blue Slip Winery at the Historic Southern Railway Station. Led by Janice Fillmore of the Chocolate B’ar in Townsend, TN, this class will teach participants the art of tempering chocolate, as well as how to make caramel. We will also taste various brands of chocolate courvetures and melting chocolates, and enjoy a glass of wine along the way. Then the real fun begins; participants will get to try their hand at making chocolates, and will go home with a box of the chocolates they made to give to their sweetie (if they last that long!).
Ticket price is $20, and includes the cost of materials. Tickets can be purchased at www.brownpapertickets.com, or email firstname.lastname@example.org if you wish to make a reservation and pay at the door.
Special thanks to Blue Slip Winery for hosting this one-of-a-kind event!
